Malaysia on Aug. 28 agreed to keep its International Monitoring Team (IMT) peacekeepers in the Philippines for another three months, Reuters reported, citing a Malaysian Foreign Ministry statement. MILF chief negotiator Mohaqher Iqbal said no changes to the role or composition of the IMT were discussed, and that MILF values the IMT's help in keeping conflict under control.
